Akroma is an alabaster-skinned, indigo-haired champion of law and righteousness. She is the advocate of justice, and rallied armies to follow her. She inspires and empowers her followers. She is a stern leader and is driven to protect people, sometimes even from themselves.
An angelic being literally dreamed to life by Ixidor in the image of his deceased love, Akroma lives only to defend her creator. At all costs, she must destroy the one who caused his decent into madness: Phage. She uses here divine appearance to deceive members of the Order into thinking they are fighting a holy war for her. As long as her master is avenged, she cares nothing for the rest of Otaria.
After Kamahl's sister Jeska became the abomination Phage, she killed Ixidor's lover Nivea, which spun Ixidor into vengeful misery. His dreams of vengeance became Akroma.
Her story began in the pit fights run by the brutal Cabal. Ixidor and Nivea were among the many souls who tried to eke out a living on the continent of Otaria by fighting in them, wagering on themselves and making their names. This worked well until they faced Phage. She killed Nivea and defeated Ixidor. Unable to cover his debts, Ixidor was left by the Cabal to die in a vast expanse of desert. There he gained the ability to make his artistic creations come to life. The most powerful of these creations was an angel with the face of the late Nivea, an angel who lived only to protect her creator and destroy Phage.
When Akroma surprised Phage during a pit-fight in the Grand Coliseum, Kamahl stepped in to come to Phage's aid. Kamahl had never given up hope that his sister Jeska was still alive somewhere inside of Phage, and would not let this avenging angel extinguish that hope.
With Kamahl's help, Phage battled back Akroma, and the wounded angel returned to her master Ixidor. In an unprecedented union of nature and death, Kamahl and Phage joined forces to march on Ixidor and his dream-created minions. The titanic battle decimated their assault force but killed Ixidor in the process—and Akroma swore even more personal and terrible vengeance.
A religion rose up around Akroma and her fallen creator, and Akroma vowed to march on Phage and destroy her forever. When they met in final combat, Akroma and Phage were evenly matched, unable to strike the killing blow. But in the end, both lived to see the other die.
Akroma and Phage met on the battlefield for their final confrontation. Kamahl, finally roused out of his meditation to deal with the serious events unfolding, attempted to strike Phage down and end the bloodshed once and for all. But something happened. Kamahl's interference, and the Mirari's power, fuses Akroma and Phage into an awesomely powerful being encompassing all five colors of mana - Karona.
