Leopans are feline humanoids, with full mane-like hair and erect cat-like ears. They originated on a jungle planet.
They originated from a dark matter nebula just beyond the galactic rim. They were first encountered by the Argonians and the P.O.T. and have established territory on the Argonian edge of the Free Trade Zone. The Leopan Conquistadors invaded the Far Side in an effort to gain a strategic edge in their war with the Zedan for control of the dark matter nebula.
The Leopans are one of the most violent empires ever seen on the Far Side. They earn command positions through trials of fire and blood.
Leopan ships use Armor Systems instead of Shields, and they mount Plasma Degenerators as their heavy weapons. The armor systems of Leopan ships allow an aggressive weapon array to be encased in a compact design.
